Install Walkabit

Walkabit has two parts: the iPhone and Watch app, and a Mac app that runs Claude Code while you're away from the desk.

With Claude Code

You need

A Mac on macOS 14 or later that stays awake while you train · Claude Code installed and signed in with your plan · an iPhone and Apple Watch on the same Apple ID

  1. Download Walkabit for Mac.
    Download Walkabit.pkgv1.0 · signed & notarized · SHA-256
  2. Open it and follow the installer. Walkabit appears in the menu bar. The Setup guide checks that you're signed in to iCloud and that Claude Code is installed, and asks which folder it may work in.
  3. Install the iPhone app from TestFlight. The watch app installs with it. When the Walkabit menu on your Mac shows Online, you're done. Get the TestFlight beta

Not on a Mac, or want it on a server? There's an unsupported command-line route on Support → Advanced.

With an API key

not yet available

Later, you'll be able to connect other AI providers directly with your own API key, entered on the iPhone and kept in your Keychain. That route won't need a Mac. Calls go straight from your phone to the provider, still without Walkabit servers.
